Free Internet Access At MS iCafé Program Members

In support of the celebration of the National Information and Communications Technology Month (NICTM) this month, Microsoft Philippines is offering free PC use and Internet access in outlets of participating members of the Microsoft iCafe Program during “ICT Hour” on June 30, 2010 from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. The "Free ICT Hour" is a wrap-up of this year's NICTM celebration with “Get ONLINE, Philippines!” theme that highlights the country’s achievements in establishing a reliable ICT infrastructure and harnessing it to improve communications, education, business and government services. The celebration was spearheaded by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT).

Customers can identify participating i-cafés through Microsoft ICT Hour posters displayed in the outlets. “With the ICT Hour, we’re not only getting Filipinos online without cost; we are also giving them an opportunity to access Microsoft technology which ensures a secure and dependable computing experience for them,” said Fortune Magsadia, licensing compliance manager at Microsoft Philippines. Magsadia added that all participating Microsoft iCafe members are equipped with genuine Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 2007.

Participating Microsoft iCafe Program members are located in various parts of the country including Cebu, Davao and South Cotabato.
