There will be a public hearing on Internet filtering by ISPs in relation to the implementation of the Anti Child Pornography Act of 2009 (RA 9775) at the NTC Main Office, BIR Road, East Triangle, Diliman, Quezon City at 2:00 PM tomorrow April 20, 2010. All concerned parties are requested to attend to air their side with regards to the implementation of web filtering.
We received a call just now (April 19, 3:00 PM) from NTC and was told that the public hearing for tomorrow is postponed to a date not yet set by them. We were informed that there was no sufficient dissemination of the information about the scheduled public hearing tomorrow so they decided to cancel it. NTC promised to call us regarding the new schedule of the public hearing.
